Onsite Repairs

The Computerman Mackay is a fee for service business. All services are chargeable.

Upon arrival onsite, I will normally spend the first 20-30 minutes diagnosing the problem/s, after which I will provide a verbal estimate of how long the repair will take.

Experience shows that most jobs are completed onsite in around 3 x hours or less.

However, sometimes a simple repair can become a complex job because of component failures or other unforeseen circumstances.  In this case, repairs are best completed in a fully equipped, well lit workshop.

In the event that a workshop repair is required, I will provide a written, fixed price quote.

After the first half hour ($60.00), I will have diagnosed the problem and provided an estimation of the total cost. If the job goes over the original estimate, I bill in 15 minute blocks at $30.00 per 15 minutes.

Generally, any repair that requires parts will be done off site in a workshop. The fee for onsite repairs is for labour only and does not include parts (if any),

If once a diagnosis of the problem/s has been made, you decide not to proceed, I will only charge you for the first 30 minutes of my time.

I am totally up front and transparent with all fees and charges. You will know exactly what the cost will be before I start work on your computer.

My terms are strictly Cash on Delivery (COD) for all clients. I do not offer any other payment terms. Payment can made by debit / credit card or direct deposit at the completion of my visit to your location. I do not accept cheques or American Express.

All purchases of parts / components require a 100% upfront payment before they will be ordered.
